Please provide the following information:

Primary label for the proposed term: Darwin Core Organism

Definition:

From Darwin core: A particular organism or defined group of organisms
considered to be taxonomically homogeneous.

Comment:Instances of the Organism class are intended to facilitate linking of
one or more Identification instances to one or more Occurrence instances.
Therefore, things that are typically assigned scientific names (such as
viruses, hybrids, and lichens) and aggregates whose occurrences are typically
recorded (such as packs, clones, and colonies) are included in the scope of
this class. For discussion see http://terms.tdwg.org/wiki/dwc:Organism

Definition source: http://rs.tdwg.org/dwc/terms/#Organism

Any other information:
This will need to be some kind of union class like CARO:organsims or
PCO:population or pco:collection of organism. Need to work on logical
definition.

Decision on 2/6/2015 was to create a draft definition and list of entities that
can be included in this class (for DwC), to be reviewed/discussed on this list.
There was agreement that we should focus on the intended/central use cases for
this term, and not get too bogged down in corner cases. Also an agreement that
the logical definitions will need to include some reference to the
observing/sampling process. May be possible to reference obi:participant under
investigation.

Darwin Core mappings happen in BCO, so this issue does not need to be here.
