Fog disappears #132

Open DrBellubins opened 2 years ago

When using this mod fog seems to just not be there at all... I understand that fog too strong would defeat the purpose of this mod, but it being non-existent completely ruins the atmosphere of the game.

It would be really nice if there was some option to control how far the fog is. Thanks!

NotStirred commented 2 years ago

fog is actually there, it's just right at the edge of the fp2 render distance, though an easy config for the fog would still be nice I admit

Heath123 commented 2 years ago

You need to set your LoD levels to a value you can realistically generate and render, because if you set it really high then the fog will start way after the edge of the actual terrain

Heath123 commented 2 years ago

If you want to be able to generate terrain really quickly in the LoDs you should use CubicWorldGen instead of vanilla

i'm not able to reproduce this, unless i use OptiFine to turn fog off manually. fp2 doesn't remove fog, it just extends the fog start distance to the edge of fp2's render distance. as long as fp2 terrain is fully loaded in, fog should be visible.
