Icons for PostHog apps

Sparked by Corys suggestion I have begun research/work on developing a template+ icons for the new apps page.

Why should we do it?

Developing a consistent style for the icons will provide a level of trust and professionalism for the new app page. Plus it makes creating app icons super easy for future use.

Outline

• I began looking at Googles rule book on creating icons- they have a whole web page dedicated to the correct way to create icons which I thought was pretty cool and a good springboard to jump from. They also uphold a clean and colourful aesthetic in their icon design which I feel in some ways is very similar to PostHogs bold and colourful branding.

• I then, using the icon template, began sketching out ideas to represent a selected few apps we have currently.

• Following in Googles footsteps I began building out some of my designs in all grey, adding in shadows to see how they would look before adding in colour.

• Finally adding colour, using the main colour scheme we have for PostHog branding.

I would love feedback and opinions on this as this idea is still in development
