Feature request

Having recently transitioned from Mixpanel to PostHog, I've found PostHog to be significantly easier to use. I currently use Customer.io for sending both marketing and transactional emails, with PostHog connected to manage user profiles and capture events.

One feature that I believe would greatly enhance PostHog is the ability to display emails sent to individual contacts. This functionality could include a history of emails sent to each person, similar to how events are currently tracked. This feature would not only provide valuable context for analyzing user behavior but also streamline reporting capabilities within PostHog.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Currently, Customer.io offers the option to send email events to Mixpanel, indicating a broader interest in integrating email data with analytics platforms. While this capability may be out of the typical scope for event-driven analytics tools like PostHog, incorporating it could align PostHog more closely with user expectations and industry standards.

Additional context

Integrating email history into PostHog would complement its existing strengths in event tracking and user analytics. This enhancement would not only improve the platform's usability but also empower users to derive deeper insights from their combined email and event data. As more organizations look to consolidate their analytics and customer communication tools, adding this feature could further differentiate PostHog in the market.
