The Documentation of the PP ALM Starter Kit should describe a basic ALM process.

During the preparation of my session at the NYC Power Platform 2020 event I have some research around branching strategies, and I found this one that I really like: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/learn/devops-at-microsoft/release-flow

Obviously the ALM process is not only about the branching strategy, but it can be the base of our thinking on this topic.
