The general workflow that themes has is the same basic tenant properties yet just a change in the main color palette. These include tweaks such as padding, each page has a certain background, etc.
So when needing to create a new report, the only way is to start over and redo all the customizations.
For example, any theme I am creating will also have configured these core items:
Page Background to a Grey, 53% transparency
Page Wallpaper to a darker grey
Table settings (based on global color palette), including items such as alignment, grid, and size (light column headers)
Turn off all data labels
Include certain items on header tooltip
Config Data tooltip with Theme Color #1 background
Turn off X & Y Axis titles
This is done in any theme I create. So If I could have a "base" theme that I could duplicate, this would save considerable time. Currently modifying a theme and renaming it does not save a copy.
