The files in docs/backends are still using the old terminology. Additionally, randombackend is no more. In othe places e.g. https://docs.powerdns.com/authoritative/modes-of-operation.html there's also plenty of mixed terminology.

I'll create a PR to improve the Modes of Operation section.
