Using "receiver-threads=" in pdns.conf seems to hang PowerDNS Authoritative server v3.3_1 (as it's called in FreeBSD ports tree.) OS is FreeBSD 9.0 amd64.
The setting is mentioned at http://doc.powerdns.com/html/all-settings.html but following the referred-to link http://doc.powerdns.com/html/performance.html does not explain that particular setting, as far as I can tell.
What value did you use?
Nothing. The bug is that PowerDNS treats nothing as zero, spawns no threads, and just sits there.
