I am also experiencing this issue - I tried contacting support a couple days ago but haven’t heard anything back.
Same issue with a module we posted on 11/7/22. cgadmin@microsoft.com is not replying to emails either. Is anyone from MSFT looking at the issues?
@pbafna03 @seanmcne @mikenelson-io thanks for reaching out. We are looking into this and working to resolve it, but don't have a definitive timeframe for the solution at the moment.
@anamnavi if you could provide some level of updates here, that would be greatly appreciated. Stats are quite important to many of us as it gives us an idea of version update uptake, etc. Additionally, consumers of the gallery look at stats and see 0 and assume there is a bug or issue with the module update leading to confusion.
I totally understand, I'll discuss with the team and provide a better estimate of when this work will be done by Thursday.
We have potentially found the issue and are working on the fix.
The package download statistics are now visible on PowerShell Gallery. Please let us know if you see otherwise.
If this was fixed, surely the date that the latest stats were updated, would be more recent.......but then I guess it really depends on your perception of what recent means. For me, it usually means at least within the same year.
Please advise what you mean when you say the stats are now visible.....did you just mean they had totally disappeared and that is what you have fixed? Because it certainly has nothing to do with their accuracy.
@BanterBoy our apologies, you're correct...we've resolved the first half of this issue where on a given package's page the download count for the version was reflecting 0, not the actual number. (Scenario #1 in the Expected Results section of this issue)
The second half of this issue, regarding Scenario #2 in the Expected Results section of this issue and what's listed in your comment, is not yet resolved. We'll have it resolved by next week.
@adityapatwardhan this still seems to be broken -- stats for packages I own have been frozen since some time in the list 2-3 weeks. I have packages uploaded a few days ago with zero downloads even though I know I've downloaded them. :)
Same here
@adamedx - what the name of the package?
autographps
autographps-sdk
scriptclass
. The first two have zero downloads, the last one has 144 but it stopped updating a few days ago. I have been downloading and installing them, so I know the numbers should go up. :)
Same thing seems to happen for powershell-yaml
as well. Don't really mind, but noticed it was happening then I stumbled over this bug  .
Ok, just in the last few hours the numbers went from 0 to 7 for one of mine, so maybe this is starting to fix itself...
Yup. Same here. Thanks!
Thanks, closing this issue as fixed
This issue is closed, but I'm having the same behavior with my packages, is there anything I have to do? Noticed the statistics don't compute for a while.
The issue was resolved but it started again about 10 days ago, we are currently investigating a fix...stats are collecting they just aren't copying over correctly as far as we can tell
Thanks for the update @SydneyhSmith . I noticed this problem with my package as well and came to report it. Just an FYI that it seems to be a problem for all packages, not just specific ones. You can see this if you look at the top 100 downloaded packages page.
Still broken, apparently:
Prerequisites
Steps to reproduce
(1) Latest versions are NOT showing download stats, it's showing up as 0 across multiple modules
(2) View Full Stats is showing older versions, instead of latest versions
