Hi - from the PR title I see that you are contributing with the intent of covering 2012 R2 shared storage scenarios. We have not built for this since repurposing the project to support Storage Spaces Direct and HCI about 6y ago. We were actually likely to strip down some of the complex older gathers that were specific to that since we were unaware of actual use and do not have examples to test on, much less potential PowerShell behavioral and feature dependencies on the versions inbox for 2012 R2.
