Unobscured, 2-Mirror Freeform Design (draft)

This design utilizes the Zernike Fringe Sag surface type with optimization across a 10x10 grid to achieve spot sizes <20 microns across a 1 degree field. Considering the fact that we are looking for a 15 deg FFOV, this design is not there yet, but I am working on increasing the field as I hone the design. Thank you, Jaren, for providing some insight into the necessary constraints for optimizing a design such as this. Please feel free to comment with any criticism or suggestions you may have.

Alex's Design

Well this is hard....I still don't have anything with good performance, but here is what I have so far for my design. I tried to incorporate "off-axis" elements, but this is annoying because you have to keep going into the surface properties to decenter the aperture and keep the beam centered. My FOV is +/- 1 degree and my EPD is 40 mm so I am nowhere near the 15 degree FOV! I used Even Aspheres for my freeform design.

I realized that there are some operands that allow you to constrain sag parameters and such for freeform design, so it may not matter which type of surface we use if we incorporate those operands.
