Everytime I download it to my mac or macbook pro desktop. It doesn't download 
as a zip file it download as a folder. I try to compress it into an zip file 
but XBMC doesn't recognize it as a zip file. Please Help

try downloading from a different browser (firefox)

turn off your auto open. use safari->click safari->preferences->'Open..'

click that box off and it will work...
