NAVI X - Cannot Open File #160

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

1. What is the technical error you are experiencing?
I just installed the XBMC on my iPad 2, i already have it on my other iPad 2
and also on mi iPod and iPhone 4S. It is working on all of them except the new
installation i did today. I am downloading the same add-on because i am
sending it from one ipad to another same way i did it with the other devices.
But im still getting an error when i try to go to any Navi X folder indicating
Cannot open the File.

2. What steps will reproduce the problem?
Open XBMC
Go to Programs
Choose Navi - X
Media Portal
Trying to enter to any of the folders... inmediately i get a cannot open file.

3. What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Pop up box indicating i cannot open the file.

4. What version number of Navi-X are you using?
3.7.6

5. What media center platform, version and operating system are you using?
XBMC / ipad 2 / 5.1.1 iOS

6. Please provide any additional information below:
It is just weird that i have done this to so many devices, and on this one, and
my friend also we are both experiencing the same issue. But my other iPad or
other iDevices have access to it. I just reinstall the Add-on on my iPod to
see, and as soon as i reinstall it, it stopped working as well. So now i have 2
devices with the same issue.

Hi friends,

This post I found on the Internet signed by a Project Coordinator & Lead
Technician
Team of Navi-X

Here I quote two excerpts of the post:
"Why Navi-X service has not been working on the weekends?
Specifically Friday, Saturday and Sunday, people have been slamming our servers
so hard, we simply can't keep the service up and running during these days for
sure. We have already put our service on a brand new dedicated server run by
Team XBMCHub that's twice the old shared server we were using before."

"We are currently looking into better management of resources, considering a
brand new and improved user interface and are attempting to unify Navi-X
services and resources all into one location. It will be a long time until we
can implement this as lots of testing and coding is required, but rest assured,
we are trying to find every available solution to stabilize Navi-X service.
Until then, you should simply keep in mind if Navi-X is unreachable, it's
because of an outage caused by peak usage from our users and you DO NOT need to
notify myself or Navi-X staff about this. WE ARE ALREADY AWARE OF THIS BEFORE
MANY OTHERS ARE."

Yes, I know! The post was published 5 months ago and it refers to those that
use BOXEE but it seems relevant also to everybody that use XBMC

Have a good day
