Wouldn't "10,000 BC (2008) [bluray.1080p.ac3-6ch.english].mkv" be more
indicative of
the movie's audio being in English rather than its subtitles?

Yes I agree. Maybe have 10,000 BC (2008) [bluray.1080p.ac3-6ch.english-sub].mkv
instead.

Chris, I think the point Jason is making is that you are renaming a .mkv, which
relates to the movie as opposed to the subtitles.
Perhaps you are referring to the .SRT file?

I think i may have confused people. I have the subtitles stored in the
mkv file.
and i am wanting to have some way of renaming the files to indicate that a
subtitle
stream exists in the video.
