Flip3D volume change #329

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Enable volume control with mouse wheel on taskbar
2.Engage Flip3D (Ctrl+Win+Tab)
3.Use the scroll wheel to cycle through open windows

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Winamp's volume will change everytime it is passed during a Flip3D cycle

What version of Winamp are you using? What plugin version? On what
operating system?
Win7Prox64, Winamp(5.581), Win7Shell(1.14b6)

Can't figure out how to edit my post.

The volume actually changes for every notch the scroll wheel moves, not just
when Winamp passes by.

I think it's a known issue. Not sure I can fix it though. IIRC, I couldn't
differentiate if it's the taskbar thumbail or it's the Flip 3D showing :|

I'm pretty sure it's both :) The taskbar thumbnail shows up in Flip3D then
every notch scrolled in Flip 3D causes the volume to change.
My guess is something would have to be changed in how Flip 3D sends scroll
commands, IOW Microsoft's issue.

No, I meant in the code... To enable the volume control, I check if the
thumbnail is open (no other easy way), but I think the Flip 3D acts the same
way, so I can't tell if it's the Thumbnail showing or the Flip 3D

I think I fixed it for the new version. If not, give feedback here.
