As the developer of Locale, I wanted to add that a Foursquare plug-in for
Locale would be a great.
This fits nicely with the design of Locale and the Foursquare Android client.
Since only one app, Locale, needs to
run in the background to determine the phone's location, the efficiency gain is
analogous to a carpool. The
Foursquare client can continue to advertise "no bloat" since Locale is actually
doing all the location-detection
work. The Locale plug-in APIs are documented our the website here:
http://www.twofortyfouram.com/developer.html
In addition, Locale users have been requesting this feature on the Locale
feature request website here:

No, that one checks in based on a saved shortcut. Using Locale, it would
automatically check in without the interaction of the user being required.
It would check in based on the GPS/Cellular location of the user (or other
criteria set by the user). Locale is written so that based on certain
conditions, your phone automatically performs actions or changes settings.
Such as on my phone, when I get to church or the library, or other locations
I have set, my phone automatically goes on silent. A foursquare plugin would
allow me to automatically check in at certain places. For example, when I
got home, it would automatically check me in. Or work, church, etc.

Your app looks like a great one-click solution. Locale would give me a
zero-click solution.

Ok, now I'm officially in love with your app. Purchased, Downloaded, and
installed.

Great! Maybe I should change the order I describe the app's features in the
description, so people can see right away that it works as a plugin for Locale
and Tasker.
Also, don't be afraid to rate it 5 stars if you like it! ;)
