The problem is that the plasmoid icon is always in the system tray as it is configured to be displayed only when it is relevant.

It may not be the developer's interpretation, but for me it would make sense for the Plasmoid icon to appear on the tray only when a background sound is playing, not always.

I think it is more intuitive to have it hidden in the tray when I am not using it (and so I have one less icon in my panel) and that it appears in front of the tray, that is, in the panel when I am using it, because that way I am aware that it is being used, unlike if it is always hidden, and I do not always use it to have it always shown in the panel.
