I have had problems extracting the channels on my LG TV and sorting them accordingly for some time. CHANSORT does not give me an explicit error message (see appendix). Is there another way to edit the * .tll file? chansort_screen GlobalClone00001.TLL.txt

I took a look at your list and it simply does not contain any channels. There is some generic data about satellites, but nothing inside \<ATV> (analog channels) or \<DTV> (digital channels).

My guess is that when you set up your TV (or ran the last channel search), you selected a predefined list from the TV's firmware instead of a Blindscan / full frequency search. Only the latter one can be reordered.

The empty message box is a separate issue that I will be looking into.

Thank you for your prompt reply :) That surprises me a lot, since the editing of the channel list worked until about half a year ago. I have now carried out another search and the problem is the same with the file: No channels. I will continue to watch the TV set to see if I can possibly find a solution.

If you have DVB-C or DVB-T, check that "automatic update" is disabled in the channel list. Otherwise it will always use the numbers sent out by your cable / DVB-T provider. When you start the channel search, NEVER select a provider or operator (even if yours is in the list). Always use a generic option like "Other", "None", ... When you are asked for further search options, select "Blind Scan" and "Frequency Scan" if available. "Network search" should not really matter - I usually have it deactivated.

It is possible that your TV received a firmware update and in some cases it might be necessary to run a "factory reset" first before the TV can actually work properly again. Sometimes new firmware code doesn't work well with data from an older firmware that's still in the TV's memory.

PS: That empty message box should contain "Empty List" - "The channel list file contains no channel" .... but it got lost in translation. So just like the file, the box was empty :)

Thx :) I tried everything. No luck! I´ll wait for a future update from LG then. Maybe they fix than the problem with "no channels" ;)
