I received a few files so far from MU models and they all worked fine. Please make sure to use a FAT32 formatted USB stick, not an NTFS stick. TVs often write corrupted data onto NTFS sticks. If the file is correct, you should be able to open the .zip file on your PC with windows explorer or tools like WinZip, WinRAR, 7zip, ... If this works but ChanSort can't read the file, please send it to me so I can take a look.
My stick is FAT32, winrar open list of 3 files inside archive, but if i try decompress files, say:
"The archive is either in unknown format or damaged. I dont know why? Buggy firmware? "
ps: Archive zip File size (i have 2 channel lists from this TV) is about 49,0 kB and tv is not in my hand now :-(
A firmware error is one possibility, but it is more likely that there is something wrong with the USB stick. It could have bad flash memory cells or wrong information about its size. I recommend trying the procedure again with a different stick.
One of Germany's largest computer magazines offers a tool to test a stick for errors. IIRC it will erase everything on the stick, fills it with data and verifies that it is all correct. https://www.heise.de/download/product/h2testw-50539
