System allows the addition of surely incomplete emails (without a .com, .sg, .nus, etc. at the back)

Team's Response

As per Wikipedia:

Although dotless email addresses are discouraged, it is indeed possible and we take that into account, therefore it is not an error.

Reason for disagreement: I understand that it is possible to have dotless email addresses. However, in the case of the app's target user audience (Organising Committees from the Computing Faculty), I do not believe there is a need to account for such emails as NUS email addresses and addresses provided by other commonly used email applications (such as Gmail) are dotted email addresses.

Additionally, it could be disadvantageous to allow dotless emails. This is because, if a user forgets to type the last part of a member's email and the system accepts the incomplete email without a warning (as shown in the screenshot above), it would be very inconvenient for the user the next time he/she needs to email this specific member as he/she would need to retrieve the correct email from elsewhere. Thus, I believe that this bug should not be rejected.
