Formally speaking, I can't see the difference. The way I see it, SDIT who are not maintainers (ie. don't have decision-making and merge rights) are simple contributors.

Pablo's idea is not to mix "maintainer rights" with software testers role. So in order to clarify your merge rights you would take 2 roles.
As discussed with @matks before, that will resolve my problem only, not the global one. So I think that my application could wait for more global solution to rethink:

Any news on that ? It will be one year since the issue to become maintainer and one-year ago that this was supposed to be on the table once the Boubker's application is solved.
