It recommends PHP 7.3 and it's not compatible https://devdocs.prestashop.com/1.7/basics/installation/system-requirements/#php-compatibility-chart

Hi and thanks for your contribution. We target the current 1.7.7.0 which will be released in few weeks :) This is why the recommended version is 7.3. Kind regards
