I made some improvements:

Note, I fixed the CSS that was not rendering the file tree lines. I kluded gaps in the lines which had 1 minor side-effect: the line that drops down off the bottom.

I decided to make the header comments a separate PR. I may work on it over the weekend (for fun). Re-requesting review. I suggest looking at only the new commits. I went an extra mile.
