Hi!

I started using the python tools for SPEC and noticed a couple of errors, which I fixed in this PR. I also implemented a few useful post-processing routines (get_volume, get_average_beta, ...)

@zhisong would you have the time to review the changes? I think everything works, and I would need it for a simsopt PR.
