Hi, I think the the current reporter can be improved. I have seen in other tools that they generate an image containing the original image + the diff in red. That way is much easier to spot the difference. Perhaps it could be added as an extra tab.

This is already possible. In the generated HTML report there is a slider "Diff opacity" which overlays the red diff over the image.
