Add PowerShell Syntax Highlighting #3644

Open simeononsecurity opened 1 year ago

simeononsecurity commented 1 year ago

Problem

The website does not have syntax highlighting for PowerShell code.

Impact

The lack of syntax highlighting makes it difficult for users to read and understand PowerShell code on the website. This can negatively impact the user experience for those who are looking for code examples or tutorials.

Solution

To resolve this issue, syntax highlighting should be added for PowerShell code on the website. This will make it easier for users to read and understand the code, and improve the overall user experience.

Hey can you give me some leads on how to start?

Not sure what it's called under the hood. But github, gitlab, vscode, and discord have powershell syntax highlighting.

Still not working...

It would be really nice to have powershell syntax highlighting.

Psghetti commented 4 months ago

It seems Powershell while being officially supported, does not highlight anything and all code appears black.

Hi Team,

Is there any update on this? It's been over a year now.

Hi, has the support been added meanwhile but this issue wasn't closed? I use an older version of prism (I think from mid June 2023, as written here: https://admin.brennt.net/bludit-and-syntax-highlighting) and recently published a post with a PowerShell script. As I activated all languages PrismJS supported at this time I tried PowerShell, and it works. As can be seen here: https://admin.brennt.net/little-helper-scripts-part-1-no-screenlock-during-meeting-ps1

Also PowerShell is officially listed on https://prismjs.com/download.html

Hello,

Yes you are right, I was wrong in posting it. It has been supported for a long time.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write to me. You can close the ticket.
