A Minecraft version filter for modpack downloading

I use the launcher on a daily basis and manage a modrinth modpack which supports multiple Minecraft versions.

Suggestion

I want there to be a Minecraft version filter near the modpack version selection dropdown, set to the latest major release by default.

Benefit

It's annoying when you expect the launcher to download the modpack for MC 1.19.3 (latest), but it downloads a version for some other version or even worse, a snapshot (that seems like a me-exclusive issue, but still). A filter dropdown with a reasonable default setting could be a solution to this problem

Are you suggesting that your modpack has continued development and support for multiple versions of the game? This sounds more like you want an addition to the modpack standards rather than to Prism. Regardless, aren't you already able to pick modpack versions in the dialogue as it is?

you are, but it's very much terrible since they're all dumped in a list with no ability to filter or sort them in any way.

I feel like this is a bit niche for a modpack, but it would certainly be useful to filter (or unfilter) what is shown in that dropdown.
