I suppose we could make cachix optional, and skip it if the API key isn't found in the environment.

Separately, I made #443 which differs in a couple ways:

It keeps 1.17.1 around for now. I don't think we need to keep it for long but I'd rather have at least a brief period of overlap.
It's based on the 2022.8.20 release tag so that we can do a 2022.8.20.1 release that differs only in this way because current main@HEAD includes more stuff than I want to ship with a new Gridsync release at the moment.

Cool thanks, don't really know what I'm doing anyway ;) and not sure if my Nix setup is .. useful? (the niv install instructions didn't work for me yet)
