Cannot install 3.3.4 on Exchange 2019 CU11 #353

Description

Hi,

I have 2 Exchange servers in DAG. I installed dkim 3.3.4 on the first server and configured it without issues. I cannot install any dkim version on server 2. The installer first says Exchange version not supported.

Then the install runs and shows all green checkmarks. After restart of the application I am back at the initial step to choose which version to install.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Download exchange dkim signer v3.3.4
  2. accept the error stating version not supported
  3. Run the installer
  4. Finish installation
  5. Open configuration.dkimsigner
  6. Screen will indicate you need to select install file

Expected behavior: after installation the configuration page should open

Actual behavior: Install seems OK but isn't and configuration UI does not appear.

I've seen the exact same post but with an older Exchange version, resolution there was to use 3.3.4. I tried 3.3.4 and back down till 3.3.1 to no avail.

As mentioned, no issue at all on the other server. Best regards,

I got it working. I copied C:\Program Files\Exchange DkimSigner from the working server to the non-working. I opened the configuration.dkimsigner exe and i could see the config but also status " not installed". After clicking on the install button , the installation succeeded and I could open the program. Removed the config and redid it and OK.
