1.54 and Session IDs #8

Logging in with Session ID doesn't work anymore. Since 1.40, when using Session ID to log in, it goes thru the loading process, but loads some really old stash. I've tried clearing all logging out, clearing history/cookies, IE, FireFox, Chrome (all latest), and still it doesn't bring in my current stash.

Any ideas?

SessionID does work, there are a large number of steam users who use sessionID every day.

Are you sure you're logging in with the correct account and using that sessionID? If you login to the forum, and view your stash on the forum, does it load the correct items?

I can use the same session id in 1.4 and it works fine (displays contents of current stash/inv). Using the same SID in any newer version, it show the correct number of stash tabs, but with very old content.

Stickymaddness commented 10 years ago

The sessionID code has not changed since Procurement 1.0.0, so there has to be something else causing this, such as settings to only download selected tabs.

Are you able to login using email/password?

BrainZap commented 10 years ago

I have to say, it is very odd. I just used a completely different computer that never had Procurement and one I rarely use to access the internet. I logged in (Chrome) and got the SID. Same thing. # of tabs correct but that's about all. Tab names are wrong (but recognizable from earlier times) and content is old as well.

Going to try to log in with email/password now

I tried logging in with email/pswd... same thing. The inventory for all my characters seems correct, but the stash definitely not. Weird.

Stickymaddness commented 10 years ago

Weird indeed, Procurement has no control over what data is returned by GGG, so it must be getting cached somewhere, at this point I'd almost say it could be your ISP caching the responses. On the pc that you rarely use to access the internet, I assume you are using a new installation of Procurement, with default settings? If you login to the fourm, is the data correct when you view the stash there?

BrainZap commented 10 years ago

Yes, everything is there when I view my stash directly on pathofexile's website. As for the Procurement install, it was installed for the first time this afternoon on my secondary computer (rarely used one). As an added test, I also downloaded 1.40 on this same computer and tried logging in (email/pswd) and it had the same problem.

I now have 4 installs (1.40 & 1.54 on 2 different computers) and only one install actually downloads correctly.

The weird part is that it's downloading items that I no longer even have. Who knows.

Are you still experiencing this issue? Have you tried testing with the 1.6.2 release?
