Process buildups for pallets already on produce bills and/or with pallet charges #217

Originally posted by **HeidiMalherbe** May 17, 2023 ### BACKGROUND Buildups can currently not be done for pallets that are already on produce bills. In cases where the producer's invoice is posted early - while pallets are still on stock - this causes a lot of manual work. Someone has to first credit the pallet from the produce bill and remove the bill line; then the buildup can be processed; and then the pallet(s) old and 'new' built pallet have to be put onto a produce bill again and the invoice re-posted. ### IDEA Development is required to: - allow buildups to be done even if pallets are already on a produce bill (advance or cost bill) - when the buildup is processed, bill-lines and related produce bill entries should automatically be 'fixed' by the system. The bill must end up with the 'old' pallet lot still in it, with the adjusted quantity, and the newly created pallet lot must automatically be inserted into the same produce bill with its correct quantity. - The related produce bill entries must also be corrected in the background. This must result in the total posted amount for the original pallet lot and new pallet lot to still total to the original posted amount. - Any related pallet charge entries must also be corrected in the background. This must result in the total charge amount for the original pallet lot and new pallet lot to still total to the original charge amount.

Hi Heidi

Will these changes mean we will be able to use the Buildup function instead of Production for cases where cartons are removed from pallets due to height restrictions and we need all costs to track through?

@TraceyRheeder The spec has not been finalised, but will likely not yet include the tracking of costs posted for the full original pallet all the way through to spreading it to both the original pallet ID and the newly built pallet ID. This cost tracking is a little more involved and I'm estimating that we'll address this in a separate development in the future.
