Hi, the odt format is not supported. You can only export to docx, but you should be able to open it with OpenOffice. Can you please provide your Calcpad source file? I am currently using LibreOffice, but I can try it on my side.
thanks for the hints, Odt not currently available in Calcpad. btw, i'm an old OpenOffice user. it seems about compatibility problems were OOo does not yet fully support Docx file format.
the problems always occurs for all calculation, even for a simple ones.
OK, I see. I will check more carefully. If it is just a little thing that is not supported in OO, I will try to make a quick fix. It will take time to add odt export. BTW, you can try LibreOffice https://www.libreoffice.org. It is quite simillar to OO and it is also free and open source.
thank you for keep support OpenOffice user like me. hopefully you'll find and fix the problem. LibreOffice also opensource, is a long decision to switch i have not done. now OnlyOffice interesting me, but look incomplete due to drawing capabilities.
you may skip to fix and close the issue. this is a problem of OpenOffice (4.1.11) itself, try open the docx with LibreOffice (7.2.5.2) is opened properly.
OK, Thank you! It works perfectly with LibreOffice for me too. It has better support for docx files.
I also validated the Calcpad output against the OpenXML specifications and it passes all checks.
The other option is to use some of the many free file converters like https://www.zamzar.com/convert/docx-to-odt/ . The resulted file opens with OpenOffice without problems. Sometimes it only says that the file is newer version, but when you close the message, it continues.
i tested to export in docx format, it's succeed to create the files and can be opening by OnlyOffice (v7.0.0.127) . however some error message shown by OpenOffice (v4.1.11) as General Error. General input/output error.
this behavior also the same when i manually opening the docx files with OpenOffice. reading Calcpad blogs, the ODT file format has been supported, how could i get this files since there's no options in save as dialog?
