Unable to connect in MKDS #4

Connecting to server fails, (is alright in other games such as pokemons mystery gift) however, unable to connect to things such as MKDS lobby infinite hang no error code. May need further change

I've heard from other people that Mario Kart DS works fine. What do you mean with "infinite hang no error code"? What region is your game from? Did you use a clean ROM when generating the AR code? What are you trying to use the code with (AR/flashcard/emulator)?

I can confirm having connected to other players in Mario Kart DS (USA) with WfcReplay codes. There were server troubles with Mario Kart DS earlier, perhaps the reporter should try again?

I can recheck the rom, though I think it was fine. When I say infinite hang I mean it will stay on connecting to Nintendo WFC with tire turning non stop (10 minutes) never timed out with error code. USA with retail game and codes via action replay. I will try again and recheck the rom/code entered. I will let you know when I test again.

polaris-/dwc_network_server_emulator#20 may be related to this issue. I'm going to wait until that one is resolved, then test again.

Just an update: a few people have come into IRC with this "permanent connecting" bug and found they had to delete their save from the Options menu to solve it. I had to do this on my retail cart, but not on the version I had on my flash card, so who knows. It seems unlikely that it's WfcReplay related as people with patched ROMs have had the same issue.

Seeing as the DWC server emulator issue linked above was closed as well, I'm going to close this for now then.
