Visual now displays premium message #156

I am running the 3.03 and notice that my visuals just started showing about premium features. Has this now come out of beta?

Yes, the demo license for Premium features expired on Sept 30.

If you need to use premium features, you can purchase a license here:

This is very unfortunate and I am dissatisfied with how this has been released. Profitbase wrapped 3 bug fixes into the latest version. I for the most part was satisficed with version 2.0.2, but needed the bug fix - "Fixed issue where header was scrolled out of view when the table contained many rows", but now I receive this premium feature window for an embedded report. If I am unable to revert back to version 2.0.2, then I will be finding another solution for my project.

I understand everything cannot be free but Im also a bit concerned as this also popped up for me even though Im not using any feature flagged as "premium feature". Basically the functions I need is the calculated row subtotals and the column total.

By downgrading to 2.0.2, would this be a purely Free version of the visual? Right now Im confused.

Just to clarify the process. We only have 1 visual and any of the feature that was in the free version is still free and should work as previously. That said there are several new feature that is marked as premium feature. These will trigger a watermark if used. If for some reason a specific feature triggers a watermark that you dont understand why that could be a bug so do let us know and we will be able to either fix it or clarify.

One big note though: According to our EULA the terms was that the visual should not be used as embedded or part of an commercial product without approval from Profitbase. We have now added a validation on this in the visual so you may get the watermark that is related to this trigger not a feature.

Hope this clarifies and you are stilling enjoying the visual. The money we get from the premium version enable us to improve the visual. See feature requests
