Business Year not ended on December 31 #283

We have customers whose business year runs from July 1 to June 30. If I now display the grand total per line, then it makes a total on December 31, and one as of June 30, and then one again over all. Is it possible to remove the subtotals and have only the grand total? The same problem occurs when a new company has an overlong first business year. For example from October 2021 to December 2022.

Hi @Leif76,

Could you share a screenshot of your report? Just so I can see the subtotals/grandtotals you are refering to.

Perfectly fine to censor any sensitive data.

Best regards Anders

Unfortunately, the font size 8 is to big to have a view without scrolling. by the way: is it possible to wrap the descriptions below "Konto"? Buisiness year is from October to September. I have now a Total for 2020 and then a total for 2021 and a grand total. I would like to hide the yearly totals and show the grand total only.

Thanks, I understand now!

We don't have that option now, but being able to specify which levels in your column hierarchy should have a subtotal could be a good feature, so I'm adding that as a feature suggestion.

What you could do is doing some work on your calendar table. This blog from Enterprise DNA is showing how you can work with Fiscal years that is different than a calendar year: https://blog.enterprisedna.co/filter-your-data-by-unique-financial-years-quarters-power-bi-modeling-technique/

In short, you would change out 2020 and 2021 with FY20 that goes from October to September, and then FY21 going from the next October.

By doing that, you would get a subtotal after the correct period of the fiscal year.

WordWrap is got deactivated for v5.1.1 for some reason. It will be back in v6, coming out soon!
