Content Blocked #545

The Financial reporting matrix is being blocked on published PBI reports. Functions perfectly in PBI Desktop before publishing but displays as below when viewed after publishing. The reports were all functioning over the previous months.

Is this to do with our companies security configuration or to do with the custom visual itself?

I met same issues , and this morning my Edge was upgrade to newest version, my colleagues met the same issues after Edge upgrade as well. Need solution as soon as possible. Thanks !!

Could you check which version of Edge you are on? Should find it if you paste this into the address field in Edge: edge://settings/help

Thanks for reaching out. We are on Version 120.0.2210.61 however also having the same issue on Chrome Version 120.0.6099.71 so could be unrelated to edge.

Let us know if manage to replicate the issue & have any workarounds to resolve.

Thanks for that. Chrome and Edge are both built around "Chromium", so I suspect there is an issue with their update, as I found this from yesterday: https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Service/The-visual-object-says-This-content-is-blocked-Contact-the-site/m-p/3573843 so seems like it's affecting multiple visuals.

I've reached out to the custom visuals team at Microsoft to hear if they know anything about this. I'm also going to look for alternative fixes for this, and keep you updated.

@ShanaiJin @JamesC5465 @Sara3548792 , could you tell me which country you are located in?

This could be caused by an issue with a server hosting your Power BI tenants. If you are all in the same region, that would make sense.

Hi Anders,

I still can´t see my report OK in PBI Desktop, I have updated te Profit Base app in my report but still not running OK. Not sure if it has to with any version of the browsers, as I´m having the issue in PBI desktop not in PBI Service, where actually I can see the report fine.

Hi all. Here' feedback from Microsoft regarding this issue:

Regarding Web: We’re suspecting it’s indeed related to the Edge version and a mitigation has already been applied.

Regarding RS desktop Jan 23: There is a flag in RS, named “approvedResourcesDisabled” that, when set to 1 (enabled), loads the visual's version from the pbix file while when set to 0 (disabled), it loads the visual from our CDNs. We suspect that the organization had this switch turned on and then turned it off, causing PBI to load the new visual’s version from the CDN, resulting in a failure.

We recommend upgrading the RS desktop to the new version. However, if the user can’t upgrade, adding the following environment variable will mitigate the issue: Variable name: PBI_privilegeWebAccess Variable value: 0

@Sara3548792, that last part is for you. But you might have to get in touch with someone from IT to change those environment variables.
