Row expansion style doesn't reset when collapsing row #565

hey, I've been trying to use the feature, which is very useful for me, and stumbled upon this issue. when I expend the row, the style updates the way I wanted, but when I collapse it back, it doesn't reset.

I would really appreciate some help!

state 1 (when opening the report) :

state 2 (when expending the row) :

state 3 (when collapsing the row) :

Related to the above mentioned issue by @aaadamt I think. When a row is expanded by clicking the small plus button, the row expands as expected. But then the parent row automatically collapses by itself again.

Hi @rrrhombus,

Sounds like it is the same issue.

Could try one of two things: 1) Turn off "apply expansion style" in the Row Expansion setting 2) Turn off "Default expand rows" in the Row Header setting.

As soon as we have a fix for this, and it's released, you can turn the settings back on.

Could you check if that solves the issue?

Will do. Can I check am I best doing making these changes in the power bi desktop file or from the workspace report edit view? Thanks, Marie

Thanks @rrrhombus, It will work the same both places. So that's up to you. If you want to save the changes after, it might save you a step if you do it in a published report.
