Alt has received special meaning after #323. It often happens that you press on Alt to navigate somewhere and then change your mind but cancelling this intention is not as easy as it should be: if you simply release Alt, the focus will shift to the main menu (and you'll have to press either Alt or Escape to bring it back).
Need to prevent single Alt keypress from having any effect in the text area (or the main window, whichever is simpler). Alt+accelerator combinations must still work (for example, Alt+F should bring up the File menu as before).
