Update version of used Chrome (via update of Electron Shell) #344

Tell us about the problem

When I load Sidekick I get an error due to the user-agent being used, which is Chrome version 59.x which is 14 version old. I cannot run this on our corporate network due to our security policy.

Which platform(s) does the issue occur on?

Windows 10 Version 1709 (OS Build 16299.904)

Provide the following version numbers that the issue occurs with:

Tell us how to recreate the issue in as much detail as possible

  1. Start the application ..
  2. Error is displayed with nothing else displayed within the sidekick display area, see image attached sidekick

Does this issue happen every time?

Yes

@mikedevine, I apologize for the delayed response.

To update the browser version we need to update the version of the Electron shell. We are not certain what would be the development effort, so I have forwarded this information to our development team for further investigation. I'll update this thread as soon as I have received more details on the subject.
