Make the MIT Project Parties a partner of Progressive Coders Network #189

Open rcscastillo opened 7 years ago

rcscastillo commented 7 years ago

Required Information

Description

MIT Project Parties would like help on reaching out to Progcode members in Boston so that they can invite them to the Project Parties organized by Al and team.

One way to go about this is to send invites to the folks in PRogCode. Which would mean we need to go through our list and invite them, or share these info with the Al and his team.

Problem

We would like to add and amplify the amazing work being done in MIT.

Benefit

Strengthen communities.

As called out in the notes, as long as we're not handing over any email then I think this is good. I'd recommend including this as a partner benefit in issue #192 as well

Ive been thinking a lot about tripwires as well of when we should rescind benefits as well. On Tue, May 23, 2017 at 4:39 PM jpb5013 notifications@github.com wrote:

I'm unclear about what benefits are conveyed in this issue and why they would be either given or rescinded. Perhaps my confusion is not knowing the specific ask from MIT. Also, would the e-mails from ProgCode to the ProgCode members be between only those two parties? If someone outside of ProgCode is copied on them, then the same issue of privacy is raised.
