Currently they include:
- The URL ‘weco.io’ should take users directly to the global wall instead of our homepage (suggested by u/aryanoes and u/kaiserblazer)
- Search functionality (suggested by u/james)
- Give moderators the ability to pin posts to the top of their branches wall (suggested by u/teknoviking)
- Crawl URL links for usable jpeg/png/gif images that can be suggested for the thumbnail image when users create a new post (suggested by u/leosammallahti)
- Make the first few lines of post descriptions visible below their title on walls? (suggested by u/leosammallahti)
- Change the "+" sign used to create new posts above walls to a text button that says something along the lines of "Create new post" or "Share post" (suggested by u/leosammallahti)
- Crawl URL links for usable text that can be suggested for the post title when users create a new post (suggested by u/leosammallahti)
- Split branch descriptions on 'About' page in every branches Nucleus into a ‘short description’ (200/300 characters) and a ‘long description’ (10,000+ characters) (suggested by u/james)
- Align text to the left on the 'About' page of every branches Nucleus (suggested by u/aryanoes)
- Move the ‘Follow’/’Unfollow’ branch button to the top of the navigation controls on the sidebar (suggested by u/aryanoes)
Anyone can register and submit ideas for new features on b/beta-suggestions. Anyone can also vote on other peoples proposals, and proposals are approved according to the decision pipeline, which is described here.

Weco is an early stage open source discussion and link sharing platform similar to Reddit but with a cooperative company structure and a range of unique features designed to help communities self-organise and share information more effectively.
Our alpha release is currently live at weco.io and our code base is available to download on GitHub under the AGPLv3 licence.

We believe that an ethical social network with the right design could help communities reclaim sovereignty over their online presence, collaborate more effectively, and pool resources together to develop creative new FOSS tools, among many other benefits.

We're looking for anyone who would be interested in contributing to the project: from developers to graphic designers, writers, organisers, creative thinkers, and more.
