About the group

Mission: Build a network of rapid response experts available to help create secure communications networks to aid humanitarian social justice movements resisting oppressive regimes.

Goal: Use communications tech as a tool for boosting grassroots social justice organizing, democratic movement building, and a voice for community expression to help grassroots organizations build communications infrastructure to strengthen their communities and movements. The modern era is increasingly oppressive to democracies, open communications, Free Speech, and a Free Press.

Who we're looking for

GIS experts, Mesh networkers, Radio & Digital Broadcast Engineers, Wireless Engineers, Software Developers, Information Technology Operations Experts, Cryptographers, Multi-lingual Cultural Anthropologists/Sociologists and Coders, Fundraisers, individuals with broad local-to-international social networks which include any experts in previously mentioned categories.

Needs

• Project Co-Lead need not possess each and every skill to build the tool-kit themselves, but should be capable of understanding the technical aspects and needs expressed by various tech design/development experts (networking/GIS, etc.) without translation.
• Research & Development of a comprehensive strategy for a Rapid Response Comms Team.
• Project Documentation for planning, project management and recruiting purposes.
• Design a Rapid Response Comms Tool-kit.
• Determine the best means of hosting the Rapid Response Comms Tool-kit & implement.
