Running lodToolkit_win64_v1.4\Release\meshToLod.exe o convert OBJ to 3MX ends with error.

Info: Input file format: .obj Progress: 1, Time elapsed: 23ms, Time remaining: calculating... Error reading file Model.obj: read error (Could not find plugin to read objects from file "Model.obj".) Critical: Open file Model.obj failed! Critical: Process failed!

meshToLod is still WIP and only works on a specific type of obj.
