If any display color modification is active (e.g. Night Light, Screen Tint, etc.), the UDFPS (under screen fingerprint sensor) has major problems in detecting fingerprints.
Step 0. Have a device with a UDFPS and set up fingerprint unlocking
Step 1. Enable Night Light in quick settings or in Display settings / Digital wellbeing
Step 2. Lock device
Step 3. Try to unlock.

Bug Description

Solution
I suspect the fingerprint sensor is not primed correctly for the active screen tinting? Otherwise i have no idea
