Intimidation #2793

Spell ID's: 19577

This ability is missing a lot, even against lower level mobs. Potentially something wrong there...

Something is definitely wonky here. image After looking a bit more into it (see linked issue...) it seems that on TBC an intimidate cast should always produce a stun eventually (as per the spell tooltip...) however on internal it sometimes misses? (and I do not think it is a stun resist)...

It might use spell hit or something? It happens too often on mobs for it to be stun resist. I'm inclined to say that it happens more often after an attack was parried/dodged/missed, and the intimidation buff was not consumed, but it might be placebo.

adding this here seeing its the same spell

From what I know and what I've researched it's working as intended; if the pet somehow misses or gets dodged/parried then intimidate should not stun and should get "wasted". unfortunate but it is what it is...maybe it could get changed later down the road. checking on internal it's actually bugged and does not get consumed like that, linking to main issue

later edit: fml after reading the actual spell tooltip, in classic and TBC it reads "after successful melee attack" whereas on wotlk it only has "after melee attack"... https://youtu.be/PhQUqyCqlIE?feature=shared&t=355 -- joana on classic wow with intimidation not being lost on missed auto.
