I am trying to respond to a mail from a friend. When I hit send to respond I get the error, "You have reached the in game cap of unique mail recipients." I am alliance and he is horde, not sure if that would make the difference.

This message is originally for some spam protection measurement from blizz that should only activate when you attempt to send mails to more than 30 people per hour or something.

However, on most private servers (epoch included) this error message also pops up if your target's mailbox is full. Not full as in "can't display more than 50 mails at once" but full as in a little bit more full. This happens around ~100 mails usually, where the mailbox displays 50 and keeps 50 more backlogged somewhere which will only be displayed if you clear out the previous 50. Until the target clears out their mailbox, they cannot receive any new mails from other players. (cancelled auctions, COD payments, and the likes still seem to come through)

I have set up a character named "Rawry" on the internal with about 140 mails in the box if a dev wants to debug this, you cannot mail this character from any other character currently.

Priority not very high as this problem can be circumvented by just clearing your mailbox, I could not find a scenario in which mail would be lost (yet).
