you can change in your browser setting to disable auto download location. Here I put example for google chrome
@MaPet01 if this helps can you close the issue?
Hi Ryvo, thanks for the possible solution.
I don't know if my company is extremely cautious, but they "control" my browser settings (see screenshot) and therefore I cannot use your solution.
If the work to be done to to come to a solution is disproportional, than I would say that it is fine for now. Because my request is a "nice to have" request and maybe not necessary for the Proof of Concept version.
But I would recommend to implement it in the 1.0 version.
I wonder if we can solve this. "Save as" is a functionality offered by the browser, not by the ESDL MapEditor. From the MapEditor itself, we cannot access the file system on your computer, so I think there's nothing we can do. But we'll check....
Wouldn't it be possible to ask your IT service organization if they can change this setting for you?
Is there an existing issue for this?
What would your feature do ?
At the moment there is only a "save ESDL" option. Therefore you don't have the option to choose the location where the file is saved or change the file name (for example to briefly add the changes in the file name).
Proposed workflow
It must be visible in the main screen in the top menu under the "file" option.
