I added some hoods yesterday, but so far we have no effects for hearing impairments.
So the proposal would be to add a system that is prepared to do the following things:
Muffle sounds progressively based on the set value, maybe reusing the Muffler class (though I feel the way to configure the speech muffling does not fit this case, unless we make it more linear, e.g. only one value that sets the many ones required by this class automatically in a suitable way)
Hide the names of the persons speaking in the chat (or: "Somone says") and in the room view if both hearing muffled and seeing impaired
Have option to not show any chat messages at all
Another idea I have is that there could be a dependency on the actual distance on the room canvas, e.g. a character standing close could be heard better or still be heard than a character far away.
