Boffo: as saddles have become quite common, it would be cool if there was some alternative use for them. I suggest a custom recipe that allows for the saddle to be crafted into leather. Maybe 3-4 leather, as it doesn't need to be super profitable, just gives an extra option to those who have tons of saddles. Cheers

Barza: Jesus yes please I remember in my surplus storage system in Legacy2 I had like 4 double chests for saddles because I’m such a hoarder and got them from fishing. I support salvaging for leather (maybe even an iron nugget too cause of the metal)
