Problem with individual_server_id and other problems #65

Hi. I would like to say that it's very good that someone has continued with Vespurai for a long time. And I hope with each update your updated menu will only get better. Actually the reasons why I am writing:

  1. The first bug is in vmenu_individual_server_id. Initially when I put your version of PF-vMenu on my server, I did everything according to the instructions and specified the server ID, but when I turned on my server, an error started to appear, saying that I did not specify individual_server_id in permissions.cfg. I changed the individual_server_id characters several times, but still got the error. Then, I decided to add setr vmenu_individual_server_id to my server.cfg , and damn it worked. The magic is that after a while I removed the previously written setr vmenu_individual_server_id line from server.cfg, but this time the error was gone and the vMenu worked fine. This is pretty weird. image

  2. Second bug - Some part of the settings from Misc Settings is not saved after clicking on Save Personal Settings. Specifically I encountered that names over head are not saved. Anyone re-entering my server again would see the nicknames over head of other players on the server, despite saving the settings. I think that if you test the Misc Settings tab there are a couple more items that are not saved.

  3. third, I decided to write a problem with the translation config of your vMenu version. By writing in fxmanifest.lua the necessary file names with vMenu translations and adding them directly to the languages folder itself, the vMenu is not translated. In general, something strange is happening. If you put your own translation file name in default_language, the menu will still be in English when you log in to the server. Going to Misc Settings and try to manually switch to another language, the text of the selected translation (its name) will not change and will be the same. For example, adding "Ukraine.json" and English.json to fxmanifest.lua, when selecting the language directly on the server in Misc Settings, Ukraine language will be called English. It's damn hard to explain, but I'm trying.

  4. The fourth bug is the lack of ability to disable the Time & Weather Options section. I saw that other people have already written here about this problem, but I decided to write about it again, because I saw in the answers that this feature was planned to be added in version 1.1.4 (Ops, slightly wrong version, but I think you get the point.), but in the end it was not added. Same with the Teleport Related Options tab. It would be cool if it could be disabled.

  5. That's all for now

Hello, i will start by stating im in no way associated with project fairness. the vMenu was dropped a while ago due to fivem policy changes.

about your problems:

  1. all you got to put for the id is a couple letters that mark your server, i think it has to be all continues, no spaces but im nt sure on that

  2. in the manifest is kept general terms by station "*.json" so it should just take whatever name for the file. But if for some reason it does not work, you clearly can, as you said you did, hard code all the language files.

about the rest i cant tell much, in general only that it is unlikely that project fairness will come back to continuing in the near future.

hope my answer was somewhat helpful after all best regards SyalFett

Oh, okay... I'm sorry to hear that. Well, thanks for the answer anyway

No problem, happy to help if able to.

the readme also states the reason for dropping the vMenu.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to do much.

The problem is that Rockstar essentially put my entire project in jeopardy, and it's all thanks to the Cfx.re collective for making the rules.

We added the Manufacturer menu in mind for those who want to select the vehicles off of vehicleMakeName (we added the concept for Chevrolet, Nissan and Pagani when we first started), but the problem was that by the time we added this, Rockstar brought the no copyrighted vehicles nonsense, which essentially, put our feature as a WASTE OF TIME.

And due to internal discussions and arguments within two servers (my own and another server we won't mention, but all you need to know is that they're a nemesis off of someone else who stole code off of their menu), the developer team left and it was up to me. Without the developers, I can't finish this update. So, the project has been put as deprecated, either until Rockstar by miracle, reverts back this copyright nonsense (which they 100% won't and it'll be the worst mistake the company has done aside from GTA: The Defective Edition, hampering the modding scene alongside Take-Two Interactive by taking down re3, reVC, sending two private investigatiors to one of my friends house and traumatizing him, and his parents for $50K and further delaying GTA VI), or if we get a bunch of developers who are passionate about PF-vMenu and want to continue the legacy that we've built on top of vMenu.

I am really sorry to disappoint you, but I will NOT be working on another version of PF-vMenu. Not by myself. We do this out of passion for the community because as much as we think most are hotheaded asswipes, we still want to help them out because we care about a stable product that many users can get to enjoy in time.

On the other hand, if you are really interested in other projects, please consider checking Venom Modding for Call of Duty mods and tools, or, I have opened up a repo for a potential PokeEmerald game base of my own.
